What makes the new pureAir models different? These air purifiers feature four unique active and passive purification technologies:
HEPA air filtration – removing particles down to .3 microns, including virus-size particles
ODOGard coating – reduces odors, VOCs and Formaldehyde
Photocatalytic Oxidation – inactivates pathogens, including the virus that causes COVID-19
Bipolar Ionization – creates a plasma of negative and positive charges to remove particles
The “active” features of these purifiers is the key here and no other brand of purifier has them. Active means, just like a cat actively seeking a mouse in your house, the technology goes out to seek and destroy pathogens. Passive means, just like a mouse trap, particles need to come to the HEPA filter to be removed.
