The Corona Virus is on everyone’s mind lately, and rightly so. It's a serious pathogen currently being investigated by the CDC. I will give you my current perspective along with some good news which is also covered in my book, Healthy Harmless Home.
The Corona Virus or 2019-nCoV should be taken seriously because there is still much we do not know about it. It's a virus that attacks the respiratory system and can easily be spread by person-to-person contact. It originated in China and the first case in the United States was recorded on January 21, 2020. The United States is taking every precaution necessary to avoid spreading the virus here thanks to the CDC and advanced medicine.
The number of people who contract and die from the flu virus every year in the United States is quite astonishing. The CDC reported the flu virus was responsible for more than 35.5 million illnesses, 16.5 million medical visits, 490,600 hospitalizations, and 34,200 deaths during the 2018–2019 flu season.* This should motivate us to take precautions every year regardless of a virus like Corona.
Despite these daunting numbers, there is good news! The air and surface purification technology that I describe in my book, Healthy Harmless Home, can effectively deactivate harmful pathogens like the Corona virus and both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
